2025: Nooco strengthens every step of carbon calculation

The year 2025 represented a major milestone for Nooco, with a clear priority: strengthening every link in the carbon calculation chain, from input data to decision-making. This year, the platform underwent major evolutions: faster and more accurate data import thanks to next-generation AI, the extension of the calculation scope to operators, the consolidation of analysis tools designed to guide carbon choices, and significant growth of the database, essential for guaranteeing reliability and exhaustiveness.

These advances meet a single objective: to offer a complete solution capable of supporting all sector stakeholders in understanding, optimizing, and managing their carbon impact, regardless of their tools or position in the value chain.

1. Revolutionizing data import: toward instantaneity

One of the key steps in the carbon calculation process is data importation. In 2025, we concentrated our efforts on making this process not only smoother but instantaneous, confirming our vision of instant data import.

  • Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence: We migrated to a more modern and high-performance AI model LLM (Large Language Model). This evolution brings a 20% performance gain in the mapping process, allowing for the expert recognition of complex descriptions, the detection of EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) sheets, and commercial references. The benefit is immediate: you upload your file and obtain your calculation without extra effort.
  • API Interface and Seamless Integration: We deployed a robust and expanded API offer to directly connect Nooco to your estimating software and business tools. This facilitates the integration of carbon impact at the heart of your processes, making Nooco a transparent calculation engine without requiring additional work.

2. Expanding the carbon calculation scope

To affirm our role as a trusted third party for carbon calculation, Nooco must not only guarantee transparent, reliable, and up-to-date data but also cover the entire value chain of the sector.

In 2025, we expanded the scope of our platform from builders to operators.

  • Value Chain Coverage: We extended the use of Nooco to asset managers and owners by officially launching maintenance-type projects. This new product allows for the measurement and tracking of the carbon impact of maintenance operations and the entire built heritage. This product will remain one of our focuses and will be updated as early as the beginning of 2026.
  • Strategic Reporting and Anticipating CSRD: To help our clients transform their project data into corporate reporting, we developed the Project Corporate Scope 3 visualization functionality. By using the results of the project Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the GHG Protocol categories, this tool allows for structured consolidation, facilitating the approach to non-financial reporting (CSRD).
  • Reliability and Internationalization of Data: To ensure precise measurement regardless of the context, we perfected the management of emission factors. The platform now uses a variety of energy and global emission factors based on international sources and databases, allowing for fine-tuned and contextual management of calculations.
  • Growth of the Nooco Database: Guaranteeing data exhaustiveness is crucial. Thanks to significant integration and consolidation work, the Nooco database saw significant growth in 2025, with the addition of 7 new databases. In total, we have increased available data by +100% for your projects’ carbon calculations.

3. Optimizing and transforming: from analysis to carbon decision

Our goal in 2025 was to guarantee the ease of use of decision-support functionalities and to exploit project data for reporting and transformation. These developments transform Nooco from a simple calculation tool into a strategic platform for eco-design and management.

  • The Nooco Catalog and Intelligent Data Management: To simplify the choice of low-carbon materials, we launched the Nooco Catalog. This tool allows for centralized and intelligent management of all specific product environmental declarations (EPDs). It offers an immediate graphical visualization to compare impacts and make the best decisions from the early phases.
  • Instant Decision Support and Optimization: Optimization should not be extra work. We improved the way a project is optimized by allowing the automatic creation of Min/Max variants for projects. This allows for immediate visualization of the potential impact of a change in materials, transforming a cloud of data points into a concrete lever for action. We also integrated Macro-lot functionalities into project creation to structure this analysis.
  • Nooco Analytics: The Carbon Business Intelligence Tool: Beyond the single project, data exploitation is key for corporate management. Nooco Analytics has been enriched to become a true BI tool. It allows for a fine analysis of activity by offering project statistics, carbon analyses, and advanced project parameter management. Notably, we deployed ratio calculations and benchmark functionalities to position a project’s carbon performance against others.

And Much More…

2025 was a year of consolidation and scaling up: a next-generation AI engine, a scope extended to operations, a doubled database, and decision-support tools that transform carbon analysis into concrete actions.

Our ambition remains the same: to make carbon calculation a simple, reliable, and useful standard for the entire value chain.

And we don’t plan to stop there. In 2026, Nooco will continue to invest heavily to strengthen its role as a leading Data Provider, push the integration of AI in carbon workflows even further, enrich data, and consolidate an open ecosystem capable of supporting sector players over the long term.

More than just software, Nooco is more than ever THE sustainable partner, committed alongside professionals to build a more responsible sector founded on data, transparency, and performance.
